Sharia Law Replacing Democracy at the UN

Since 2007 the most subtle play has been happening in the UN between the Organisation of the Islamic Congress (OIC) countries led by Pakistan and the West (mainly EU and US and allies).

What is also becoming apparent is that Western values no longer have the power they once had in the United Nations (UN) and our platform of democracy and equality is also being eroded. The growing Muslim voting block of nations is slowly but surely introducing Sharia Law into the UN and apparently without anyone really noticing.

Consider this: In 19th session of the UN in 2007 Islam received “Human” Rights.

images-5In the 2007 of the UN sitting, as a reaction to the flack the Islam had been getting as a result of the September 11 bombings across the world, Pakistan on behalf of OIC, introduced a resolution concerning the deformation of Islam and its practices.

“On 18 December 2007, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution “Combating Defamation of Religions” by 108 votes to 51 with 25 abstentions. The resolution expresses “deep concern about the negative stereotyping of religions and manifestations of intolerance and discrimination in matters of religion or belief”. But the only religion mentioned by name is Islam.

What this resolution did was in effect give Islam Human Rights status—something that should be only accorded to human beings not to an ideology / religion

The Western delegations stood firm in their opposition to this resolution. The Portuguese delegate, speaking for the EU, explained clearly why:

“The European Union does not see the concept of ‘defamation of religions’ as a valid one in a human rights discourse. From a human rights perspective, members of religious or belief communities should not be viewed as parts of homogenous entities. International human rights law protects primarily INDIVIDUALS in the exercise of their freedom of religion or belief, rather than ‘the religions’ as such.”

Notwithstanding these objections, those opposing the resolution found themselves on the losing side of a two-to-one majority in favour.

Islam was now accorded the same rights as  a human. To “disrespect” Islam and its practices was now against the Humans Rights Charter and one step closer to Sharia’s Blasphemy Laws being accepted into the UN Charter.

Armed with this UN approval for their actions, Islamic states could now legislate against any show of disrespect for religion, however they may choose to define “disrespect” in the future.

In the West we would see this disrespect play out as “I am offended”.

The Cairo Declaration of Human Right in Islam (CDHRI)

cairo_declaration_on_human_rights_in_islam_djvuThe Islamic states see human rights exclusively in Islamic terms governed by Sharia Law. 58 Countries have already subscribed to the 1990 CDHRI and continue to abstain from supporting the West’s UN Charter of Human Rights where it doesn’t comply with Sharia Law.

March 24, 2011 Resolution became a stand against the introduction of Islamic Bllasphemy Laws in favour of freedom of speech

“The United States strongly supports today’s resolution, which like its predecessor rejects broad prohibitions on speech (blasphemy), and supports actions that do not limit freedom of expression or infringe on the freedom of religion. This resolution demonstrates a desire to move the debate on shared challenges in a constructive and affirmative direction to ensure that all individuals enjoy their human rights and fundamental freedoms” (free speech).

Then in 2012 the deformation of Islam was back on the agenda at the UN

The proposed resolution included references such as “deplores the use of print, audiovisual and electronic media, including the Internet, and any other means to incite acts of national, racial or religious violence, xenophobia or related intolerance and discrimination against any religion, as well as the targeting of religious symbols and venerated persons.”

Such language is unacceptable in a human rights framework, as religions, symbols or venerated persons are not the bearers of rights; instead the individual is the bearer of human rights.

The Tern Afrophobic is introduced.

8 March 2013: Twenty-second session Agenda item 9

Racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance, follow-up and implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action

Pakistan (on behalf of the OIC proposes the above draft resolution.

Here we see the play that has been going on for a while against Islam’s refusal to let people choose any religion (apostasy) and Islam’s introduction of Sharia’s blasphemy laws.

THE WEST: Reaffirming that the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights provides, inter alia, that everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion or belief, which shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of HIS CHOICE, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching,— (no death for apostacy)

THE WEST: Reaffirming also the positive role that the exercise of the right to freedom of opinion and expression and full respect for the freedom to seek, receive and impart information can play in strengthening democracy and combating religious intolerance, and also that the exercise of the right to freedom of expression carries with it special duties and responsibilities, in accordance with article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights —(blasphemy laws remain subverted as people remain able to criticise and have opinion)

ISLAM: 3. Condemns deeply any advocacy of religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence, whether it involves the use of print, audiovisual or electronic media or any other means;

ISLAM 8 (f) Adopting measures to criminalize incitement to imminent violence based on religion or belief;

(Denmark and Sweden’s criminal laws on criticizing Muslim migration. 18C and 18D legislation in Australia.)

ISLAM 9 (b) To foster religious freedom and pluralism by promoting the ability of members of all religious communities to manifest their religion and to contribute openly and on an equal footing to society;

(Our Government is forced into permitting religious pluralism Islamic laws and religion along with ours.)

WEST: 11. Calls upon States to adopt measures and policies to promote full respect for and protection of places of worship and religious sites, cemeteries and shrines, and to take measures in cases where they are vulnerable to vandalism or destruction; (no accountability to Islamic nations for their transgressions against Christians)

ISLAM 12. Requests the High Commissioner to prepare and submit to the Human Rights Council, at its twenty-fifth session, a report on the efforts and measures taken by States in the implementation of the Action Plan outlined in operative paragraphs 8 and 9 , as well as on the views of States, United Nations agencies and other relevant stakeholders, and her evaluation on the establishment of a monitoring mechanism on combating intolerance, negative stereotyping, stigmatisation, discrimination, incitement to violence and violence against persons based on religion or belief;

Later that year in Dec 12, 2013 - Sections 18C and 18D were introduced in response to recommendations of major inquiries including the National Inquiry into Racist Violence  into Australian Law.

OBSERVATION

Screen Shot 2014-10-07 at 5.54.10 AMWhat is playing out in Facebook and with our Police Departments and our Government seems to be a result of our seat at the United Nations. The UN is a forum where we are now continually being outvoted because of its Muslim dominance.

We will continue to lose the freedoms we have under democracy as the Muslim voting block continue to push Sharia law as part of the Islamic version of their Cairo Declaration of Human Rights under Sharia law.

Currently the West are fighting the introduction of both Blasphemy and Apostasy Laws in this arena and into our legal framework by default. The West seems to be trading Blasphemy Laws for reciprocal agreements on Apostasy and freedom of religion, but for how long?

Islam desperately wants us to stop criticising Islam and its practices yet at the same time distances itself from the jihadists like ISIS spawned from Islam.

We and the UN need to make Islam accountable for the religious intolerance of its extremists before we give into any reduction of our freedom of speech to criticise the actions of both the religion that created the Islamic extremists and their actions that continue to rack up human right abuses according to the UN Charter.

By Islamic nations distancing themselves from ISIS and all the other jihadists who can go around abusing Human rights and destroying the religious freedoms of others, Islam remains exonerated and untouchable. I say we need to protest that we change nothing until Islam can reign in its dangerous extremists. Islam wanted to be considered as a human and accorded human rights —well it can also be accountable as a Human and accorded sanctions and penalties for human rights abuses.

What our government has committed Australia to the UN at its 25th Session

The following is what our  Government is committed to implementing

8. Notes the speech given by Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference at the fifteenth session of the Human Rights Council, and draws on his call on States to take the following actions to foster a domestic environment of religious tolerance, peace and respect by:

(a) Encouraging the creation of collaborative networks to build mutual understanding, promoting dialogue and inspiring constructive action towards shared policy goals and the pursuit of tangible outcomes, such as servicing projects in the fields of education, health, conflict prevention, employment, integration and media education;

(b) Creating an appropriate mechanism within Governments to, inter alia, identify and address potential areas of tension between members of different religious communities, and assisting with conflict prevention and mediation;

(c) Encouraging the training of Government officials in effective outreach strategies;

(d) Encouraging the efforts of leaders to discuss within their communities the causes of discrimination, and evolving strategies to counter these causes;

(e) Speaking out against intolerance, including advocacy of religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence;

(f) Adopting measures to criminalize incitement to imminent violence based on religion or belief;

(g) Understanding the need to combat denigration and negative religious stereotyping of persons, as well as incitement to religious hatred, by strategizing and harmonizing actions at the local, national, region and international levels through, inter alia, education and awareness-building;

(h) Recognizing that the open, constructive and respectful debate of ideas, as well as interfaith and intercultural dialogue at the local, national and international levels, can play a positive role in combating religious hatred, incitement and violence;

9. Calls upon all States:

(a) To take effective measures to ensure that public functionaries, in the conduct of their public duties, do not discriminate against an individual on the basis of religion or belief;

(b) To foster religious freedom and pluralism by promoting the ability of members of all religious communities to manifest their religion, and to contribute openly and on an equal footing to society;

(c) To encourage the representation and meaningful participation of individuals, irrespective of their religion in all sectors of society;

(d) To make a strong effort to counter religious profiling, which is understood to be the invidious use of religion as a criterion in conducting questionings, searches and other law enforcement investigative procedures;

Final Comment:

There needs to be an accountability of Islam to the UN Christian bank of nations. Islam simply must be held to account for the radicalisation of Islamic extremists and their resulting human rights abuses. Also Islam’s actions against other religious minorities and their buildings and their rights.

While these OIC countries are signatories to the UN declaration they must also observe the rights of other religions who are party to this UN Charter regardless of whether it is Sharia Complaint.

Until there is this accountability to the the UN, as members we have every right to complain, object and vilify because what is being done across the world in the name of Islam is simply wrong. Islam trying to shut us up is just another form of bullying. Time to remove the “plank” Islam.

As for our leaders at the UN—time to make ISLAM accountable for its followers, ISIS Poko Haram.

    Every now and then, you need to break from the flow of hot viral videos to screen a lost, cringeworthy classic. Today’s is a profoundly sad and soulless primer on workplace flirtation.What are Arthur Malov’s romantic credentials? Well, he self-published a pick-up artist pamphlet and works as a professional dating coach—with a company he founded. But let’s not forget that lank hair, the worrying eyebrows, and those creepy mannerisms. You can tell his female costar is into his playful memo patter by the way she patiently waits for him to leave her cubicle.
