In Islam a Black Dog or donkey walking in front of a praying man or even an adult woman will invalidated his prayers.
The Prophet said: “The prayer of a Muslim man is invalidated if he does not have in front of him something like the back of a saddle, by (the passage in front of him of) a woman, a donkey or a black dog.”
Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh from the hadeeth of Abu Dharr . Muslim also narrated it from Abu Hurayrah, without mentioning the word black. The basic principle is that a general statement is to be interpreted in terms of the specific statement. In the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbaas it says “A woman who menstruates” i.e., an adult woman. The correct view is that which is indicated by the hadeeth: that these three invalidate the prayer.
It is further complicated by the fact that Shariah Law regards dogs in the same category of uncleanliness as swine.
With this kind of belief system is it any wonder that we read reports in our papers of Muslim taxi drivers refusing to pick up the blind with seeing eye dogs. This is an issue for people with all types of human assistance dogs in Muslim countries as well as the West. Take this recent article:

Australia is a country with a big share of Dog lovers. Currently 37% of the households owns a dog. However in the UK, just as in Spain— in the heavily Muslim dominated suburbs—reports of dogs being baited are being reported by the newspapers.
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Five dogs have died after eating pork laced with poisonous pesticide which had been thrown into their gardens.
The pets, which belonged to two different households on the same road in Knottingley, West Yorks, suffered fits which left them foaming at the mouth.
It is believed they had eaten slabs of blackened meat deliberately left for them, after tests revealed them to be poisoned.

Animal abuse, cruelty, and/or neglect form part of the many social ills plaguing the Muslim community.
Last Ramadaan, I wrote an article highlighting the phenomenon whereby misinformed Muslims took their dogs (and/or cats) to the animal hospitals or mobile clinics during Ramadaan, to have them put to death by lethal injection. The reason given by the majority of these Muslims was that Islam forbids them to keep a dog. Also encountered was when an animal that had been ill for a prolonged time and the disease had progressed to an almost terminal state was it only then brought in for veterinary attention. When asked why they waited so long, the Muslim owner would use Islam as a reason, stating that it is not permissible to touch a dog. This still happens.”
CONCLUSION:
Australian’s in general hold all life, including animal life, dear. However, this is not the case with Islam. In Islam all life is expendable to the cause of Islam. Herein is another challenge to cultural cohesion for authorities.
Australia is country with a rich natural hertitage that our traditions and beliefs call on us to value and protect regardless of our “religious stance”. This set of values around animals and dogs needs to be included in any “HOW TO” book of becoming an Australian and valuing Australian traditions.

As an actual Muslim this article is a joke. Muslims are supposed to stay away from black dogs and cats because they attract djinns/demons. Maybe you should actually do your research on Islam before talking about it. Dogs are considered impure because of their saliva, but many Muslims own dogs. It is not permitted in Islam to harm any animal (obviously including dogs) so these videos you are showing are ridiculous. Anyone can be an animal abuser it doesn’t matter whether they are Muslim or not. The people you are talking about are a small percent of the population who are obviously not educated on Islam or its morals. Yes dogs and pigs are unclean but again, it is not permissible to be cruel towards them. After all, they are gods creation. Do not try to find an excuse to bash all Muslims and label them as violent because a few cruel people who happen to Muslim try to use their religion as an excuse to harm animals.
That is the crux of this ideology…..it is immersed in evil. There are laws in every modern, civilized country on Earth about cruelty to animals. There are projects set up around the world to stop hunting and the extinction of certain animals. Its a mark of humanity to be kind and considerate. And most humans abhor vile, senseless, unprovoked attacks of pure mindless cruelty on any beast especially one thats been such a worthy companion of the human race. Dogs have existed beside us since the first men lived in caves. They hunted with them, they ran with them, they shared food with them and they usually slept beside them. Then you have the dogs that have heroically saved their masters or others from fires, drowning or being attacked. The dogs that sniff for people trapped under fallen buildings, dogs that lead the blind around in their daily life, dogs that work with police and do as much to keep the community safe as their human counterparts do. Dogs that are bring in the sheep, round up the cattle and ride beside their master and his horse on lonely nights in the bush. Then the dogs who live with a human family….they bark at intruders but dont do much else. But they bring joy and happiness to the members of his human family. Some have grown up with the children and spent days running, catching ball, swimming and playing with them. These pets bring laughter, joy and love to their humans. The family dog greets you at the door after work, wagging his tail and happy to see you. They understand their humans and can always bring them cheer. They are members of the family and the pleasure they bring is endless. I know this is a cruel world with people out there that take some preverted joy in hurting animals especially if they cant hurt back. But Muslims have been told by their prophet dogs are unclean and he himself killed hundreds and encouraged his followers, then and now, to do so. This is a man who killed mercilessly, who raped, who was a slave trader and was a paedophile. He was a liar and a thief. He deceived and grew powerful by these deceits. He thought nothing of beheading 200 Jews and yet he called dogs unclean and added angels will not enter where dogs reside. That was in the 600s so it was a barbaric time and not surprising these illiterate people followed his word. But we are in the 21st century and as we evolved humans learnt to be human. They know cruelty to any creature for crueltys sake is a sign of a sadist, a pyschopath and is not accepted anymore. But we see Muslims on videos throwing dogs off buildings and cliffs, Muslims beheading cats and dogs, and one disgusting photo of a smiling Muslim holding a small crucified dog up to the camera. These \’men\’ kick and beat dogs whenever they see them, they throw rocks at them, they run them down and even skin them alive. What is wrong with them? What is missing from their brain and from their very humanity? Do they do this because Muhammad said to? Isnt he lucky he found a race of people who could collectively have a infantile mind and a utter demonic nature that wouldnt evolve at all from the 7th century to the 21st to continue this weakness in their soul? What god would smile upon these terrible acts and think it is a godly duty his people do? Its blind, dumb, weak and cowardly. But then that seems to be the nature of Islamists. One day I hope to see a thousand Muslims held upside down from the 30th floor of a building by their ankles and then let go. I want them to feel helpless, scared and confused. I am not a nasty, cruel person but people like that who kill defenceless animals so easily dont have the right to breathe the air of good people. They have no worth and do no good for the human race.
